massive, lobate | white | white | uniporal | slightly compressible. | Triaenes are more or less disposed near the surface; this arrangement is less obvious in the interior of the sponge. Oxyasters can be found throughout the choanosome. | Ectocortex of microrhabds poorly developed, endocortex of sterrasters well developed. Total cortex is less than 1.5 mm thick. | Strongyles to oxeas: 572-1272 μm long / 7-23 μm thick; Ortho/Plagiotriaenes, rhabdome: 427-883 μm long, clads: 179-427 μm long. | Microrhabds: 13-65 μm long / 2-5 μm thick; oxyasters I: 30-57 μm (diameter); oxyaster II: 17-26 μm (diameter); sterrasters (length/width/thickness): 91-113 μm/70-91 μm/57-72 μm |
