Sponge formed of cylindrical tubes united at their base. |
beige-white |
One apical osculum at each tube. |
Giant longitudinal diactines. |
The choanosomal skeleton comprises sagittal triactines, the unpaired actine generally pointing to the outside of the sponge and supporting the leuconoid aquiferous system. The atrial skeleton arround the narrow central cavity is sustained by several layers of traictines, which are smaller thatn the choanosomal ones, and occasional giant longitudinal diactines. |
The cortical skeleton consists of giant longitudinal diactines and small triactines. |
Giant diactines, conical, with a thicker distal half (pointing toward the osculum) , sagittal choanosomal triactines, sagittal atrial triactines, small trichoxeas surrounding the osculum, but not forming aconspiciuous fringe |
